Children and especially teenagers play the leading role at camping Strandheem in Opende. Contact with peers is quickly made. The double animation program for older and younger children ensures that all members of the family have a great time. When the little ones are having fun in the playground, the older children play sports on the free game field, when they are not in the pool or chilling in the youth center.

Environment
Opende is the most westerly village of Groningen. This means that it is an excellent base for exploring the area in Friesland, Groningen and Drenthe. Discover Friesland from the water, the historic city of Groningen, or the dolmens in Drenthe. Also fun is the barefoot path. Close to the campsite.
Facilities
No teenage campsite without wifi, but there is so much to do that the screens can easily remain unused for a while. In principle, you can just stay at the campsite during the holiday. You can swim indoors in the modest indoor pool and outdoors. Strandheem owes its name to the enormous beach pool of no less than 30 hectares, directly adjacent to the campsite. For the smaller children there are plenty of play equipment in the playgrounds. The campsite has spick and span sanitary buildings that can be used without coins. It will be difficult to get the children off the campsite.
